Bruce is clearly happy in the greenhouse - good to see him settling in.

Love the wall flowers with the garlic. Thank you so much for this tour around your lush garden, this is certainly my type of garden. The pond must be such a nice place to sit and look, but also the conservatory border, the wild garden and so on, it all looks wonderful and may be some parts are a bit like a secret garden.Janneke https://www.blogger.com/profile/11056916431881916066noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-574800003825292845.post-18201804371895473172014-06-02T21:11:48.183+01:002014-06-02T21:11:48.183+01:00Edgeworthias do seem to be on the sensitive side, ...Edgeworthias do seem to be on the sensitive side, I just I can keep mine going until it gets large enough to flower. I was tickled pink by your "chuffed to little mint-balls" phrase, a new one on me! I realise this is heresy, but I have put my Edgeworthia on notice. It has been fed, mulched, and informed that if it doesn't buck its ideas up and start performing it is going. I think there is definitely a roll for glysophate in the garden, I am currently enjoying the sight of the bindweed shriveling up and dying, though more is appearing that will also need treating. Sometimes, needs must!Janet/Plantaliscioushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15605580157193047780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-574800003825292845.post-31797563198698116322014-05-31T22:43:50.539+01:002014-05-31T22:43:50.539+01:00I wasn't aware there was such a thing as a tre...I wasn't aware there was such a thing as a tree dahlia - now I do! Thank you for enlightening me. I must look them up.
Your garden is certainly looking very lush and yet you've a fair bit of colour. My tree dahlia tubers (from seed last year) were stored dry in wood shavings in the garage, then potted up and they are now in the top border and about 4ft tall, fingers crossed for a flower, just one will do! I learnt today that verbascums are prone to not coming back year on year unless you grow the white species one, worth consideringAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-574800003825292845.post-21496685807798362222014-05-31T19:46:47.495+01:002014-05-31T19:46:47.495+01:00Rules are made to be broken, we cut our box balls ...Rules are made to be broken, we cut our box balls two weeks ago, they were looking so shaggy, I couldn't stand them any longer!
