They have however endured container life for quite a few years because I have moved house so I keep pruning them several times a year – as a result they haven’t had fruit since they were free spirits. Soon they will get a permanent place in my new garden so maybe next year!HELENEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16112289914239038835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-574800003825292845.post-2620032872961327492016-03-07T17:00:18.888+00:002016-03-07T17:00:18.888+00:00That looks very healthy! I just love them. One is from some mystery seed labelled 'French Quince' that a friend got for me and sent without telling me who it was. It is now 3 ft tall and yes it might be a while before it fruits but I have grown it from seed and that is fantastic. To me, the fruit has a beautiful, delicate perfume and a little added to apple in a pie or crumble is delicious.
I hope you get the chance to taste some from your own tree this year!
Best wishes
EllieEllie Fosterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12437259693600577503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-574800003825292845.post-6588245319323088442016-03-06T15:34:19.178+00:002016-03-06T15:34:19.178+00:00It's turned very cold here, it has been sleet ...It's turned very cold here, it has been sleet on and off all weekend. Here too some shrubs and trees are careful unfurling their leaves, which make me worry a bit because we have one day rain, the other day frost.
